Our brothers in the Formation stages of their religious vocation discernment.

“The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few; therefore, pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest.” (Mt. 9:37-38).

As a Church, we recognize the need for priests to serve the many needs of its body. So, we pray that families and communities nurture vocations, that young men courageously answer God’s call to the priesthood and religious life. And when they do? We ask God to help us provide.

The Catholic Daughters of America (CDA), in partnership with our community of St. Joseph Theologate in San Antonio, Texas, brings this event to life. We strive to raise awareness of our ministry and fundraise to support the men who have answered the call and find themselves in the stages of Formation.

The formation years can take 8 to 12 years, and the expenses are many. Aside from the basic living expenses (shelter, utilities, food, clothes), there are the additional expenses of medical insurance, house maintenance, tuition & formation-related workshop expenses for the brothers attending seminary/school, which are very significant. Tuition alone for one brother is about $22,000 each year.

That’s why we depend on the generosity of our friends and benefactors, and the funds we raise at events like this. We are ever grateful for our benefactors and friends who partner in our ministry to make these events happen. As well as all those who purchase a ticket and support our events.
